Carreteras – old cars prepared for racing used to be very popular in Brazil and Argentina back in ’50s-’60s. Almir Rocha, brazilian hotroder, took one of this way treated 1928 Chrysler Model 72 and made fabulous matte-black hotrod of it.
Almir’s 1928 Chrysler received new powertrain from Dodge 318 and 727 automatic transmission. Unexpectedly, the body itself was in good condition, but they did some reinforcement and modification anyway in order to keep it strong and fit Dodge’s powertrain. The hood and some other body panels were fabricated from scratch. The all-black theme is all over the car – interior and exterior. And it looks badass.
