“Friends of Carroll” meaning Ford MC, Shelby American and Ford Racing, put themselves into a project to honor Carroll Shelby by producing 2013 Shelby GT500 Cobra tribute car.
They started by upgrading 5.8 liter V8 with Ford Racing 4.0 L Whipple supercharger that resulted 850 horses [662 before]. The body received Shelby-designed hood, rear wide body kit, 20-inch wheels.
2013 Cobra will be brought across the States and will eventually be sold in charity auction.
Update: it was recently sold for $200K at Barrett-Jackson.
