Corvette Stingray concept

Corvette Stingray concept

During Chicago Auto show [2009] General Motors has introduced their latest concept muscle car -- the Corvette Stingray. This car is only to perform in Transformers movie as a Sideswipe character, but sadly not in production. Tom Peters was a man to design the new Camaro and this outstanding Stingray concept. He says he got inspiration from each of the Corvette generation.  The noticeable splitted rear window idea was taken from 1963 Stingray.1963-stingray

The elegant and futuristic aluminum-dashed interior was designed by Micah Jones. The visionary engine is a hybrid V8 with cylinder deactivation for better MPG.  Peters himself claims, that this concept has some elements the new C7 will have. We do not expect the next real C7 to have hybrid, but it rumored C7 is to have a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and direct-injected V8. Let’s wait and see.
