The first GT350 R Mustang

The first GT350 R Mustang

You’re looking at the possibly the most important Shelby Mustang ever – the 5R002 which is the first GT350 R ever and the second GT350 in general [year 1965]. Fellows from StreetLegalTV.com were lucky to find this story. This Mustang s important because it actually began the story of Shelby’s dominance in B-production racing. The anonymous owner of this extraordinary Mustang has a very valuable collection of Shelby ponies: including each 1965-1967 Shelby Mustang with the serial number 002 one of the 11 factory supercharged 1966 Mustang GT350s [1 of 3 in red]. These are the photos of GT350 R’s restoration done by North West Auto Salon.
