There were rumors last year that Viper may only be the Alfa Romeao 8C Competizione with a Viper face. Luckily, this year Chrysler’s official Ralph Gilles denied that and stated that the new Viper “is not based on anything else”. FIAT is only to advice. Gilles also reassured that “there won’t be a part of the car that’s untouched” and that the 2013 Viper will be “a more forgiving car to drive and accessible to more people” – this means adding modern control technology.
The styling will also be familiar to 2010 Dodge Viper. 2013 model is expected to have an upgraded 8.4 liter V10 with about 700HP. The 2013 Dodge Viper is expected to go on sale in the summer of 2012.
