There were rumors that the next generation Corvette may be mid-engined with all wheel drive powertrain, dual-clutch and 5.5 liter V8 [440 HP]. The movie hero car from Transformers and Stingray Corvette concept draw the possible C7 Corvette render. Assuming, that Corvette has been front-engined for the last 57 years, it is most likely it will stay so in the 7th generation too. GM’s product design head, Ed Welburn, revealed that the next Corvette will get a split rear window along with some other vintage styling cues. C7 may also carry over the some concept features like egg-crate grille, vertical slat headlights, side vents, and the jet-fighter glasshouse.
