Mercury Cougar Concept by Kevin Morgan

Back in 2002 Ford has killed Cougar model while the Mercury brand itself was phased out in 2011, as FMC repositioned its efforts on the Ford and Lincoln brands.
Luckily enthusiasts like the already well known Kevin Morgan [mostly famous for his Trans Am and 6T9 Goat] didn’t give up on the cat and released his interpretation of Mercury Cougar.
Gotta say Kevin succeeded almost perfectly ’cause there’s no trouble in recognizing the brand and the model too. The rear end is obviously based on the 5th generation Mustang while the 3/4 front view merges clues from both Mustang’s fascia and probably Challenger’s rear fender. According to other enthusiast comments, this concept is worth the production line. If not, there’s still some hope Kevin will make a one-off model, just like the TA or the goat..

2012 Chevelle Concept Speculation

There were rumors Chevrolet will unveil the new Chevelle Concept in Detroit Auto Show, but… gotta be frank – they disappointed us. No muscle cars were delivered there, just two “digimon” concepts.
Anyway, this is not the first time enthusiasts think they know better what to produce, so we’ll try to keep the 2012 Chevelle topic going on. We’ve surfed the net and found a few discussions about the new possible Chevelle concept which was very much welcomed and awaited actually.
We believe the LS3 V8 which delivers 430 horses is just about enough for a welcomed Chevelle. 20-21-inch rims, dual cat-back exhaust, stiff suspension, some stripes and design hints of the 1966-1972 Chevelles is something what we want today. Well, something more modern is welcomed too, but rephrased quote of Ford’s head designer is just about what we expect here: “We can’t lose the Chevelle DNA, it must have new design trend, but still have to be recognised immediately”. The 2003 Chevy SuperSport was a nice concept which, sadly, didn’t hit the production run. There was one more unofficial concept [see photos of the the white one], but it didn’t even get some iron into it…
All in all, there’s little hope, that Chevy would consider Chevelle’s revival, but it may rise as Phoenix someday.

Mad Max Interceptor Concepts

Remember Mel Gibson playin’ Mad Max? Remember the crazy 1973 Falcon? We do. So guess what – the new movie “Mad max 4 – Fury Road 2012” is coming out somewhere in 2012 and Ford is taking a serious role there too.

Ford unveiled two Mad Max Interceptor Concept for voting. Two leading candidates for the Max’s hero car have been created in roughly 40-percent size and are on display at the Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne. Ford Australia and TopGear Australia magazine have extended the voting period through July for readers to pick between the two new spectacular Interceptors concepts being crafted by Ford designers.

TopGear Australia magazine has followed the progress of the cars from the concept stage, right through to full-blown Computer Aided Design. Their progress has been well documented in TopGear Australia magazine with readers being asked to vote on which concept they prefer.

2012 Viper concept

We’ve found a seriously cool 2011 Falcon Mach7 recently. We think the styling cues of this car is very familiar to Dodge Viper and actually could be reinterpreted as next generation 2012-2013 Viper. Here’s our try to give Falcon a bit more of Snake’s character.

2012 Dodge Magnum

Well, we’ve got some inspiration recently… Since there’s so much buzz about the new 2011 Chrysler 300 and its special editions, we’ve remembered 300′s cousin – the Dodge Magnum.

There’s no buzz about the new possible 2012 Dodge Magnum, so we’ll try to create some. Here’s our render based on Chrysler 300, Dodge Durango and Magnum itself.

2011 General Lee Charger

Remember when we rendered the 2011 Super Bee? Well, this time we were up to 2011 General Lee Charger.

Since the original Lee was coupe, we’ve converted 2011 to coupe too. The “01″ emblem is obviously a must. What do You think?

Cadillac Ciel Concept

According to Cadillac chief designer Ciel Concept represents the new design trend for future Caddies. It blends retro themes with current design.

This concept also strengthens new full-sized four-door convertible class. Ciel has suicide doors and no B-pillars between them. Concept features 3.6 liter twin turbocharged DOHC V6 engine that produces 425 HP -- enough to spin 22-inch rims through hybrid low-speed all-electric transmission.

Cadillac says Ciel was inspired by Californian coast. Ciel is French for “Sky”. “There is authentic craftsmanship in the way the exterior and interior elements meld, much like a vintage wooden boat,” said Gael Buzyn, interior design manager.

Ford Cobra Snakehead Concept

Shelby Cobra, that debuted half a century ago, is probably one of the most replicated cars. Sadly, there’re no real intentions to build an other Cobra model, so many enthusiasts struggle to do this themselves: Reuben Zammit’s KC-427, Jamie Martin’s Cobra Venom V8, Neal Bailey’s Blade XTR. Actually, most of the recent muscle car concept effort was brought by enthusiasts, not manufacturers. Ford has unveiled their last Cobra Concept in 2004 and it was awesome.
Talented designer Andrus Ciprian brings us an other snake – the Ford Cobra Snakehead concept. The modern 21st century interpretation of what Shelby did years ago – stuff massive engine into small car. Andrus, however, concentrated on design mostly and you can definitely discover Ford Focus front end features in this concept study. Muscular wheels arches, body shape itself, rear end designs says it is definitely Cobra and it probably would be powered by the new Ford’s 5 liter monster V8.
